Dr. Nelson Chan was born and raised in Washington State, growing up in the Seattle area and spending his summers with his grandparents in Eastern Washington. He has worked at various jobs throughout his life, including carpentry and metalwork.
He has a lifelong interest in the outdoors and enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, and any type of off-road exploring. In that setting, he has long been interested in healthy living, but it was a motor vehicle accident-related injury that was unsuccessfully treated for 2 years before finally undergoing successful treatment by a chiropractor that lead to his decision to become a chiropractor.
He obtained his doctorate of chiropractic medicine at the University of Western States in Portland Oregon. His techniques include Diversified, Thompson, IASTM, and Trigger Point therapy. He believes the most effective treatment comes from a team approach between chiropractor and patient, listening to each patient's concerns and subsequent feedback.
